Reloop has redefined vinyl performance with the unveiling of the RP-7, the first professional direct-drive turntable created solely for 7-inch records. Long associated with collectability rather than club use, the 7-inch single finally receives dedicated hardware built for DJs who want precision and portability without compromise.
“With this launch, we are not only celebrating the rich tradition of 45 vinyl culture, but also reimagining it for the future of performance in this iconic format,” said Reloop CEO Gerald Barbyer. That vision translates into a player designed to honor the history of 45s while meeting the technical demands of today’s professional DJs.
At its core, the RP-7 features a high-torque brushless DC motor (2.5 kg/cm) that ensures accurate cueing and smooth scratching. A die-cast aluminium platter, integrated switching power supply, and straight copper tonearm with rubber damping further enhance performance by minimizing resonance and interference. Moreover, the design incorporates a height-adjustable base and a statically balanced tonearm system, eliminating the need for anti-skating adjustments.
In terms of functionality, DJs can choose between three speeds (33⅓, 45, and 78 RPM), while a clickless tempo fader and adjustable pitch range of +/-8%, +/-16%, or +/-35% provide maximum flexibility for mixing. Connectivity also stands out, with switchable phono/line outputs, gold-plated connectors, and a recessed terminal to protect sensitive ports during transport.
Weighing just 5.7 kg, the RP-7 is significantly lighter than standard decks, making it ideal for 45-focused events. Finished in a sleek deep black metallic design, the unit offers both style and durability.
