PowerBass talks car audio at local school

Press Release (EDITED): GARDEN GROVE, CA: On Tuesday December 9, Erik Harbour Vice President of PowerBass, and Juan Quintana Sales and Marketing for PowerBass headed over to visit Rancho Alamitos High School in Garden Grove, CA to talk about 12V Audio and Electronics with students.

We attended the schools Auto Shop class led by teacher Christan Garling. It follows a hands-on program that teaches students the fundamentals of automotive technology, from maintenance and diagnostics to tool use and safe workshop practices. Students learn by doing, working directly on vehicles and real shop projects.

A major strength of the program is its connection to the automotive community. Rancho regularly welcomes guest speakers from local shops, industry professionals, modification brands, and automotive artists, giving students insight into real careers, custom-car culture, and the creative side of the auto world. These visits inspire students, expose them to current trends, and help them understand how professionals built their paths in the industry.

Students also participate in regional auto-skills competitions and career events, building confidence and experiencing the industry firsthand.

“Going back to school was great! We had a fun time in class with such a wonderful group of students. It was our pleasure to be able to take the time to talk with them and answer questions about our industry and show them the vast possibilities of future career paths in 12V Electronics,” said Harbour.

The program helps students gain valuable skills, discover career possibilities, and prepare for college, apprenticeships, or entry-level automotive work. The auto shop continues to grow as a place where students learn, connect, create, and build their future.
