Amber Technology unveils JBL Summit Series at Melbourne hi-fi show

Amber Technology will present an extensive range of premium audio solutions at the 2025 StereoNET Hi-Fi Show in Melbourne.

Visitors to the event will be able to experience a selection of high-fidelity audio products from brands including JBL, Mark Levinson, and IsoAcoustics, featuring a number of key launches for the Australian market.

Nathan Brady, General Manager at Amber Technology, said, “Amber Technology is proud to return to the StereoNET Hi-Fi Show and reconnect with the passionate Australian hi-fi community.”

“This year’s line-up reflects both Amber Technology’s long-standing partnerships with iconic brands and its commitment to bringing the latest innovations in sound design and performance to market.”

Summit Series debut

Amber Technology will introduce the JBL Summit Series loudspeakers to Australia for the first time.

The Summit Series, comprised of the Makalu, Pumori, and Ama models, is being exhibited following its international debut in Germany.

JBL developed these loudspeakers at its Acoustic Centre of Excellence in Northridge, California, with a focus on employing advanced acoustic technologies and materials to achieve clarity, precision, and dynamic response in residential audio settings.

The series features proprietary elements such as D2 compression and dynamic drivers, Differential Drive woofer motor structures, MultiCap crossover networks with both single-wire and bi-amplification connectivity, and high-definition imaging Sonoglass horn technology.

The cabinets are designed with soft curves, and the integration of IsoAcoustics isolation technology aims to maximise sonic clarity and control.

The Summit models pay homage to JBL’s heritage, drawing inspiration from the earlier Everest and K2 models. According to JBL, these new units, while referencing older models, are crafted to deliver both an auditory and visual experience that sets a benchmark for high-end hi-fi.

The JBL Summit Ama will be the feature model on display in Room 2315, where industry members and enthusiasts can hear demonstrations across the three-day show. The Makalu and Pumori models will be showcased at selected VIP dealer events in Australia upon conclusion of the main event.

Amplification and electronics

The Summit Ama loudspeakers will be demonstrated using Mark Levinson flagship amplification and electronics.

The combination has been selected to showcase the full range and detail these speakers can deliver, constituting what Amber Technology terms a “reference-level listening system” for the occasion.

Mark Levinson is also using the show to introduce its 600 Series components to the Australian market.

The series features three products, each focused on reference-level performance and high-end design. According to the release, the 600 Series reflects the Mark Levinson signature Pure Path approach, including the No. 626 Dual-Monaural Preamplifier and the No. 631 Monaural Amplifier, with an emphasis on all-analogue signal paths and robust visual styling.

Visitors interested in learning more about the Mark Levinson 600 Series can receive additional information in Room 2315 during the event period.

Isolation technology

IsoAcoustics is introducing the new GAIA Neo and GAIA-TITAN Neo isolation feet to Australia, with demonstrations available at the show.

These updated models are tailored for both audiophile and professional use, featuring height adjustment capabilities, simplification of installation, and the intention to deliver improved articulation and spatial resolution in high-end hi-fi systems.

Attendees can evaluate the IsoAcoustics technology as part of the Summit Ama demonstration system, intended to exhibit the combined effect of the loudspeakers, amplification, and isolation solutions.

“Amber Technology is proud to return to the StereoNET Hi-Fi Show and reconnect with the passionate Australian hi-fi community. This year’s line-up reflects both Amber Technology’s long-standing partnerships with iconic brands and its commitment to bringing the latest innovations in sound design and performance to market.”

Amber Technology staff will be available in Room 2315 for discussions and demonstrations across all three days of the show.

The company states that it expects strong interest from local audiophiles, enthusiasts, and industry professionals in the new products on display.
